Imbema’s Energy department is responsible for several product lines focusing on energy measurement, energy management and inspection and testing equipment.
Thorough integration of communication technology in the energy sector has led to what’s known as ‘smart metering’. Energy consumers want clear usage reports and energy profiles. Ways of saving energy can be more easily found by combining the right products.Usage figures can for example be presented and made accessible in different ways with the aid of data-management systems. It is now possible to read usage rates of gas meters in the field by using battery-operated dataloggers in combination with GSM technology, with the data being made available via a web application.
Under the terms of a new Dutch law, suppliers and installers are obliged to provide an approved meter for controlled measurement tasks such as the supply of electricity and gas for household, commercial and light industrial use. Our energy meters meet these requirements.
Our low- and high-usage electricity meters can be inspected either in our calibration laboratory or on site, using calibration equipment.
