Gas Measurement
Click on the right for our products.
When we talk about gas measurement most of the time we think of natural gas. One of the pillars, or - as you want - our economy's engine. Without natural gas daily life could almost come to a stand still. Transportation and supply have become a matter of naturalness for us. Together with many other gases natural gas is an explosive product, that can only be transported and used safely by respecting her properties. Imbema Controls offers a wide range of products, that are specifically developed for use in working with, controlling and measuring of (explosive) gases.
Gasmeters
After having ensured that the transported gas has arrived at the desired location with the right pressure, the next important step follows. Everyone would like to know how much has been supplied. A reliable measurement must take place. In this respect Imbema Controls offers you a range of products suitable for various capacities as per various measurement principles.
- Bellow gas meter for small capacities.
- Rotor gas meter for a very accurate measurement of large ranges 1 : 160.
- Turbine gas meters for small and large constant gas distribution.
Gas pressure regulator
A gas pressure regulator can be divided in two big segments, viz. the distribution regulators, which reduce a higher net pressure to a lower net pressure. The second group of regulators are the supply
(afbeelding) regulators, which reduce the pressure to a pressure suitable for a specific application. Imbema has been active with gas pressure regulators for decades.
Proof readers and data loggers
The supplied quantity of gas, which we measured using the gas meter, must still be corrected to a standard quantity. For this purpose we use volume conversion devices or proof reader. By using these devices the measured gas volume is being corrected in capacity of the measured pressure and temperature. Mostly these values, as well as other parameters, are logged in the proof reader or to a data logger connected to a system. A data logger can record the measured data and send it to a central database, viz. through GSM or GPRS communication.
Smart metering
The market for gas meters is on the eve of a great transition. In the future we shall go from the
(afbeelding) conventional meter to the digital reading of consumption. Imbema Controls cooperates with customers as well as with suppliers on the development of these devices.
