Imbema Controls offers several solutions in the field of gas detection to various utility projects for renovation and/or new buildings. For every application we have specific equipment, which can be used in f.i. parking garages, boiler rooms and cooling systems. 
Parking Garages In parking garages, like underneath shopping malls, hotels and apartment buildings, there is the risk of too high concentrations of carbon monoxide, LPG, gasoline vapor and nitrogen dioxide. A carefully designed gas detection system (which controls a ventilation system) can prevent that the air in a parking garage is perceived as unfresh and unpleasant. Should a high concentration be unexpectedly present, the gas detection system takes care that the people present are warned. In this way the garage is not only perceived as pleasant, but it is also many times safer in the garage.

Just now, in a period of weaker economy, we have chosen to develop a new 2-wire system. This seems unruly; however, this system responds to the ruling trend of saving! By means of this system significant savings can be done on wiring and assembly costs.
Boiler rooms If there are gas appliances in a room, we should take gas explosion into account. A gas explosion many times has far reaching consequences for the infrastructure of the technical installations and the construction of a building. It is not uncommon that a gas explosion involves injured, but unfortunately also deceased people.
If a gas leak occurs in a boiler room, it is important to prevent further outflow of gas. This can be done by means of putting - outside the boiler house - a throttle in the main gas pipeline. Furthermore, the danger can be indicated by acoustic and/or optical signaling, so that preventive measures can be made.
Imbema Controls B.V. supplies gas detection stations, catalytic detectors, but also economically attractive infrared detectors for boiler houses. Infrared detectors are increasingly used in boiler houses due to the speedy response times and the high level of reliability. Gas throttles and alarm sounders can of course be delivered as well.
Refrigeration Refrigeration is used for many applications.
Example: to maintain comfortable temperature in an office building, cold storage of fresh products like: fish, meat, vegetables and fruits, and due to the fact that natural ice is rare, to be able to skate on ice rinks.
Refrigeration works in priciple on heat extracted from the environment by evaporation of a coolant. This coolant is often sucked by a compressor. The compressor brings the gaseous coolant to such a high pressure that it becomes liquid again in the condensor, after which the procedure starts all over again.
Ammonia, CO2, R22, R32 etc. are often used as coolant. These substances can be toxic, explosive or oxygen displacing. If a leak occurs in the refrigeration, it can damage products, the environment and people's health.
A gas detection system can perceive a leakage quickly, so that products, the environment and the installation can be secured fast. In this way damage is significantly controlled.
